PdM for the Red Nose?

by | Dec 16, 2019 | Predictive Maintenance

Think about a foggy Christmas Eve. Consider Rudolph’s shiny nose.

Perfect match, right? Rudolph leads the team of reindeer through the fog, his nose providing a beacon in the darkness. Christmas is saved!

Unless…

What if Rudolph’s nose is on the blink? Won’t light up? Won’t even flicker?

Christmas is ruined!

Listen, we don’t claim to know all the ins and outs of how or why Rudolph’s nose glows (or why Santa’s reindeer can fly), but we imagine that the Ol’ Saint Nick would want to be pretty darn sure his emergency lighting system is ready to go at a moment’s notice.

Our advice to Santa would be to make sure that amazing snout is constantly monitored by a predictive maintenance system.

Rudolph has a sniffle two weeks before Christmas? Santa’s PdM system would alert him to a potential problem before it gets worse.

Rudolph gets a little rough and tumble during the reindeer games and takes a hard shot to the schnoz? The big guy would be notified immediately so that corrective steps can be taken.

With his PdM system on the job, Santa can rest assured that Rudolph will be ready—and everyone’s holiday will be joyful.

Well, except maybe yours if your equipment stops working in the run up to the big celebration. But don’t worry, there’s still time to send a letter to the fella at the North Pole and tell him you’d like ATS to install a predictive maintenance system right away.

Happy holidays to you and yours from all of us at Advanced Technology Solutions!
