You know, the guy from the comics? The ‘What’s with Bob?’ guy? You’ve heard a lot from my co-workers, and I thought it was time I spoke for myself. I mean, they’re great and all, even though they do eavesdrop a lot. But I thought you might like to hear from Bob himself, you know?

If you’ve been following my adventures, you know that my career has had a few ups and downs. Things really took off for me when I hired Advanced Technology Solutions, Inc. to design a Predictive Maintenance Plan for our facility. In partnership with ATS, we put a comprehensive PdM program in place, and suddenly our downtime was reduced dramatically…

See, the word “predictive” is important. It means that we’re set up to see the signs of trouble before things go wrong. We can anticipate needed maintenance and keep the operation running smoothly. No more sending the crew home while we wait for repairs after a surprise breakdown.

Not too long ago, management got a wild hair and wanted to try something new. They wanted to try an online program for maintenance. What we ended up with was an overwhelming amount of data. Too much to even begin to go through all the time. What’s worse is that it turns out that the data was only 76% accurate. 76%!

Listen, when my kid gets 76% on a test, it’s a C. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my business relying on data from a C student. That’s just nuts.

I knew I had to do something, so I scheduled a meeting and explained to management that our PdM program with ATS gave us accurate data 99% of the time. Man, if my kid came home with a 99%, I’d be thrilled!

Fortunately, management heard me. How could they not, right? So, ATS is back on the job—and our downtime is trending in the right direction again.

Look, technology changes all the time. You gotta keep up. But just because something is newfangled doesn’t mean it’s right for you and your company. No matter what changes come along, ATS knows what works and what doesn’t—and they are committed to your success.
