Predictive Maintenance Certifications

by | Apr 27, 2018 | Company News, Predictive Maintenance, Training

In our last blog entry, we compared the work Advanced Technology Solutions does to a high-quality physical—a workup that looks for potential problems before they become acute. Let’s imagine ourselves back in that doctor’s office again….

Doctors like to reassure their patients that they know what they’re doing. Often, that means diplomas and certifications displayed on their walls. But, imagine that you take a close look at the certificate hanging on your doctor’s wall and it turns out to be a high school diploma! Time to find a new doctor!

In the same way, it’s important that you know the bona fides of the people you rely on to keep your operation healthy. At ATS, our team is qualified. And not just “graduated at the bottom of the med school class” qualified. More like Harvard Medical School qualified.

For example, members of our team have earned category three certification in vibration analysis from the prestigious Mobius Institute Board of Certification. ATS engineers have also earned vibration analysis certification from the Vibration Institute and motion amplification certification from RDI Technologies. If a piece of equipment is shaking, our people know exactly how to diagnose and cure the problem.

And that’s not all. Our team has earned certification in static and dynamic motor testing from Baker Instrument Company, infrared thermography from the Academy of Infrared Thermography, dynamic balancing from Entek, and machinery lubrication analysis from the International Council for Machinery Lubrication. Certifications from OSHA, MSHA, and Electrical Safety for Qualified Electrical Workers from Shermco Industries have also been earned.

But, perhaps most impressive of all, is the fact that many members of our staff have earned the title of Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CRMP) from the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals. The CRMP program offers the only certification accredited by the American National Standards Institute, which uses ISO standards for accreditation. This certification focuses on the philosophy of predictive maintenance and its benefits. This is the gold standard—the Harvard Medical School—for maintenance and reliability pros.

Think of it this way, if all of these certifications were framed and on the wall, there would be no more room for pictures of our kids, our office dog, or our favorite sports teams. And that should put your mind at ease when you choose Advanced Technology Solutions.

Not only that, but we’re happy to share our knowledge. We offer Predictive Maintenance Training, which includes two courses—Introduction to Vibration Analysis for Predictive Maintenance and Advanced Vibration Analysis. These classes can be conducted on-site or at an ATS training facility and they feature small classes (just 10 attendees for the intro course and 5 for the advanced course). We’ll bring you up to speed on what you need to know, using real-life case studies to illustrate the work.

We also offer on-site PdM training, which equips your facility to have a top-notch in-house predictive maintenance program.

Long and short: ATS has the expertise you need and can share that expertise with your team.
