Joe Akers joined ATS in 2009 as a Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri region. In his role as BDM, Joe is responsible for managing current partnerships with established clients while also seeking out new opportunities for growth.

He is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP). The CMRP exam is accredited by ANSI and certifies the knowledge, skills, and experience of M&R professionals. Joe’s commitment to his profession is a reflection of ATS’s dedication to advanced training and high standards.

In his downtime, Joe enjoys the Iowa Hawkeyes, music, baseball, craft beer and classic literature stating that, “It doesn’t get any better than a good beer at a baseball game.” Joe cites volunteering at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City as incredibly rewarding and looks forward to continuing his activities with this valuable institution.
