Meet the ATS team: Chad French
How long have you been with ATS?
As of this writing (2/20/20), exactly 4,585 days – or about 12.5 years. I started in August of 2007.
What do you do at ATS?
I’ve had many roles with ATS, but the role I’ve been in for the last five years is Inside Reliability Consulting Analyst & Support. That’s a fancy way of saying in-office data analyst/technician and support. I handle our send-in data clients and data management. I’m also our point technician for our oil analysis clients.
Where did you go to school and what certifications do you have?
I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2002. I have certifications from the Vibration Institute, MRG for thermography, and Machinery Lubricant Analysis from ICML.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like cycling—mainly mountain biking, but pedaling for mental and physical health. I also have a home art studio for ceramics and pottery. I started young in admiration of my uncle who was a studio potter in my small town. I started making pottery on my own in school about 25 years ago.
Tell us about your family.
My wife and I are lucky to have two amazing kids who are active in clubs and sports that we get to be a part of (sometimes more in a personal Uber capacity). We enjoying seeing them be active. Yearly we take a family trip with our silver lab to northern Minnesota for a week of outdoor fun. We also enjoy watching our favorite team, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and are lucky enough to make it to events throughout the year.
